How to improve your italian dance skills.

Throughout history, Italy has produced many important names in the dance world, such as Carla Fracci and Alessandra Ferry, whose extraordinary talents conquered the international ballet world. More recently, we've found that names like Eleonora Abbagnato and Roberto Bolle continue to enhance this wonderful and fascinating art form in theaters in Italy and around the world.

One of the earliest attempts to systematically collect folk dances was Gaspare Ungarelli's 1894 work Le vecchie danze italiane ancora in uso nella provincia bolognese ("Ancient Italian dances still in use in the province of Bologna"), which contained brief descriptions and Music includes dance.

A very important figure of this period was the dancer, choreographer and dance teacher Carlo Brasis, who was the director of the La Scala Dance Academy. Bracis is considered the father of ballet technique, and in his treatise on the art of dance he laid the foundations for a true classical dance method. In it, he talks about the importance of combining the arts of dance and the art of a dancer not just knowing how to dance, but knowing all the arts related to dance. We owe him a pose invention, inspired by the sculptor Giambologna's Statue of Mercury pose.

Dance is the day after the speech! As you learn the steps of pizzicarela, Alexandra picks up her tambourine to accompany dancer Francesca Silvano - an energetic social dance usually performed in circles. Francesca will also present the women's work chanting ritual, fimmene fimmmene and pizzica tarantata - the spider dance, a powerful and energetic ritual dance. For the dance, you are encouraged to go barefoot or wear comfortable shoes and wear white and red, the traditional ritual colors of ancient tarantulas.

La Pecorara or A'Pasturara: a traditional dance from Calabria played by a couple or two in 68 beats accompanied by bagpipes and accordion. The stairs are usually low to the ground, with occasional small jumps. The man, with his hands on his hips, looked intently at the woman, who was holding her skirt in her right hand and her left hand bent sharply at her hip.

Throughout history, dance has been used as a way to celebrate, worship, lift and heal, and folk dances are used in countries around the world to tell stories and provide insight into rich history. Italy is no exception, with dozens of beautiful folk dances appearing on its timeline. Of all Italian folk dances, none stand out more than the tarantula.
